Special Request

G’day,

In July 1999 Liz and I returned from a year in the US to face a ministry where we were the only Student Life missionaries in Sydney. Almost ten years later, there is a ministry with three teams operating on four major universities, with some smaller student-led ministries happening as well. Our roles have changed from focussing mostly on direct one-to-one ministry to include much more strategic direction, pastoral care of team members and public speaking. With this in mind, our national leadership have agreed that it is appropriate for me to finish a Master of Divinity, which I began in 2003, by studying full-time for a year. We will still be serving with Student Life/Campus Crusade over the next year, just on a different assignment. Our plans (Lord willing) are to return to regional leadership in Sydney in Aug. ‘10.

Moving our family internationally during these turbulent times has its challenges. We face uncertainty in the exchange rate and housing markets. But, confident of God’s ongoing provision and partnership with many wonderful individuals, we are choosing to step out in faith again. Would you consider joining with us in this challenging adventure of faith?

We have some clear financial needs. We have already had to pay for airfares (A$2,800), visas (A$1,800) and medicals (A$600). When we arrive, we will need to buy a car (approx. US$5,000) and pay tuition (approx. US$6,000 per semester), among other set-up expenses. Our total special need is over $40,000. Would you prayerfully consider making a contribution towards this special need? As always, we do not know where God will provide from, but we are confident that he will provide.
